A landmark agreement will strengthen surgical capacity at three district hospitals over the next five years.
MolGen is proud to announce a new five-year partnership with the Rwanda Ministry of Health to strengthen surgical capacity at three district hospitals in the Southern Province.
## A Comprehensive Approach
The partnership will address all aspects of surgical care: - **Infrastructure** improvements to operating theaters and recovery rooms - **Equipment** donations including anesthesia machines, monitors, and instruments - **Training** programs for surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nurses - **Mentorship** through our telemedicine platform
## Government Commitment
"Rwanda is committed to achieving universal health coverage, and surgery is a critical component," said Dr. Patrick Ndimubanzi, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health. "This partnership with MolGen will help us reach that goal."
## Building on Success
This partnership builds on our previous work in Rwanda, including missions at Kigali University Hospital and support for the national surgical residency program.
"Rwanda has shown remarkable commitment to health system strengthening," notes Dr. James Okonkwo. "It's an honor to be a partner in this important work."
We look forward to updating you on progress as this exciting partnership unfolds.
